How frequently do you run island cruises?

We aim to run our cruises regularly from late April to late September. They are weather dependent and your best way to see the most up to date schedule is on our Facebook and Instagram.

Where does the boat leave from?

We are based on Donaghadee harbour, you will see Island Lady tied up at the steps just before the lifeboat. You can see our location on Google too!

Do I need to bring a lifejacket?

No, we carry life jackets as per MCA regulations, if customers wish to wear one they can but it isn’t a requirement

Can I bring my camera?

Yes, of course and when you post your lovely pictures tag us on Facebook or Instagram @islandboatchartersdonaghadee.

Are there any age restrictions.

Accepted Answer

For fishing trips, unfortunately no children under the age of 8.

For other cruises, we typically do not have any restrictions but please get in touch with our team to ask about children.

Can I bring food and drink?

Private parties are welcome to bring food and drinks and relax and enjoy their trip, everything in moderation though!

Intoxicated passengers will be denied boarding.

Are the puffins there all year around ?

Accepted Answer

No guarantees unfortunately, wildlife work to their own schedule of course! Whilst there is no guarantee of seeing puffins but they are typically around April to July, and in their absence there is lots of other widllife and scenery to enjoy.

Is there shelter on the boat?

No, it's best to come prepared for the weather with a jacket and warm clothing, it's Northern Ireland.

Can we go ashore on the island's?

Unfortunately not, the Island's are private land. We just admire from a distance.
